Bachelor of Science in Mathematics

About

Our Bachelor of Science (BS) degree program is especially strong. Each year, we send teams to the Putnam competition and get students ready to take career-specific exams, work in industry or pursue a graduate degree at a top-level university. We offer a variety of electives that prepare students for careers in industry, government or research.

High school students who want to pursue a math major should complete four years of high school mathematics, which includes two years of algebra, one year of geometry, and one year of pre-calculus mathematics.

If you want to major in math, contact us as soon as possible after being admitted to EWU to get an advisor and plan your courses.
