BA in Educational Studies

About

In the Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies Program, you’ll get a broad foundation in education. You’ll study assessment, classroom management, teaching methods, educational equity and literacy for diverse learners. You’ll also get an introduction to educational psychology and special education. In addition, you’ll conduct your own research and participate in a capstone course.

Educational Studies Major, Bachelor of Arts (BA)

Educational Studies (BA)- This program provides a focus for students interested in learning more about the field of education, but are not seeking certification. This major does not lead to a teaching certificate. 

Majors in Educational Studies complete a final internship designed by the student and their advisor that is specific to the student's interest within educational fields. This degree could help students to work in areas adjacent to teaching, such as communications, media relations, policy, etc. 

Note: two years of a single high school world language or one year of a single college-level world language is required. Completion of two or more years of a college-level world language is strongly recommended.
