Library staff facilitate many of our borrowing operations from our circulation desk, located on JFK’s main floor in the lobby. Staff can answer questions about your user account, library spaces and study rooms, library guidelines and use policies, and lost and found items. Library staff maintain a course reserves service containing special items requested by instructors for specific courses. Students can find these materials using our catalog. Faculty may request material reserve services using this online form. Contact the circulation desk, located in the lobby of JFK’s main floor, with any questions.

For items not found in our shared catalog, ILL staff make requests on behalf of EWU students, faculty, and staff. Request processing takes up to five days for articles and up to 10 days for books. We provide current EWU students, faculty, and staff access to materials not available at our library. Summit materials automatically appear catalog search requests. We borrow and loan physical materials through the Orbis Cascade Alliance (a consortium of 38 colleges and universities in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho). Delivery of Summit materials take up to eight business days. Summit loans are twelve-weeks long, and are eligible for one six-week renewal. Textbook loans are not guaranteed.

Located on the lower floor of JFK, library staff facilitate this co-sponsored service of the EWU Libraries, the Multimedia Commons (MMC), and the EWU Student Tech Fee (STF) Committee. Students whom have paid their quarterly technology fee are eligible to borrow STF equipment during academic quarters.
