Private School Course Registration

For Students Currently Enrolled in Private School

Complete these steps to apply and register for courses. If you have any questions during the process, please contact cihs@ewu.edu.

Complete Orientation

Student Orientation Video: The first step in getting oriented to EWU in the High School as a student is to watch this video. It will take approximately 15 minutes.

Canvas Orientation: If you or your parent(s)/guardian(s) would  like more information, you’re welcome to review this Canvas orientation course. Note: This is an open enrollment Canvas course. You do not need EWU credentials to access the course. Please avoid using Microsoft Edge as the default browser when opening Canvas.

Complete Self-Pay Contracts (Self-Pay Students Only)

An EWU in the High School course costs a reduced rate of $65/credit. Self-pay contracts are distributed and collected by the high school instructor. Complete this step before proceeding to Step 3.

How to make a payment online:

  1. Visit inside.ewu.edu/eaglenet.
  2. Select “Forgot Your Password”
  3. Select “Activate Account”
  4. Name: First and Last Name
  5. User ID: This is your Net ID. If you don’t know your NetID, the student can email cihs@ewu.edu to ask what it is
  6. Verification Code / EWU ID: this is the 8-digit EWU ID number starting with one zero.
  7. PIN: Student’s birthday in the following format: mmddyy.
  8. Set up the account following the prompts (keep birthday as PIN for ease of use).
  9. Choose “Student.”
  10. Choose “Student Account.”
  11. Choose “Pay My Bill.”
    1. Click on the Top Right “Pay Now”
    2. Select the Term and Click “Pay Now”
  12. You will be redirected to a website to pay bills
  13. Choose the term again, fill in the amount that you plan to pay, and select “Pay Now.”
  14. Follow prompts regarding payment information.

How to make a payment by mail:

  1. Make check payable to Eastern Washington University.
  2. Include the student’s 8-digit verification code (EWU ID with two zeros in front) on Memo Line.
  3. Mail to the following:
    Eastern Washington University
    Student Financial Services
    202 Sutton Hall
    Cheney, WA 99004

Note: If you did not receive an email with your NetID or EWU ID number, contact our office at cihs@ewu.edu or 509.359.6187.

Complete Application

New students must complete the application. Students who applied and earned credit for any classes in the 2022-2023 Academic School Year, DO NOT need to reapply. To prevent duplicate applications, please only submit one application per student.

  1. How to start the application:
    • Please use a personal email, not your high school email address to apply — the high school firewall will block emails from us.
    • Please create an account on the application page (must select first time user).
    • When completing the application, select EWU in the High School in the dropdown menu.
    • Please ensure correct spelling of emails and check spam or junk folder.
  2. Completing the application:
    • Once your account is created, you must activate the application through email.
    • After the application is completed, you will receive an email with your eight digit verification code (EWU ID) within three to five days to the email provided in the application.

Confirm Your Registration

After completing the online application and the self-pay form (if applicable), confirm with your high school instructor that your name appears on the course registration roster. Names not on the roster will not receive credit nor will retroactive credit be given at a future date. Please double-check with your instructor that you are on the course roster in order to receive credit.

An email will be sent to you after your instructor submits the confirmation roster. If you do not receive that email, please let your instructor know.

Upon Completion of Course

Upon completion of the course, you will be asked to complete a final course evaluation. You may also want to order your final transcripts.

Course Evaluation:

Thoughtful evaluations help high school instructors and Eastern Washington University critically evaluate and assess the course curriculum delivered to program participants. A link to the evaluation will be sent out at the end of each quarter.

How to Order a Final Transcript:

You can order a final transcript using these options below.

Online:

  1. Visit EagleNET
  2. Choose “Pin Access.”
    • User ID: This is your 8-digit verification code (EWU ID).
    • PIN: Student’s birthday in the following format: mmddyy.
  3. Set up the account following the prompts (keep birthday as PIN for ease of use).
  4. Choose “Student.”
  5. Choose “Student Record.”
  6. Choose “Order Official Transcript.”

Using the Transcript Office:

  1. Visit Transcripts.
  2. Follow the directions for your situation.
