About Risograph Printing

Risograph printing merges the tactile beauty of screenprinting with the mechanical efficiency of photocopying. Its use of spot color ink drums enables bright, explosive, and often unpredictable visual results. Designed for editioning, Riso prints one color at a time, leading to natural misregistration that contributes to its charm. Overprinting, color separations, and layering techniques offer endless opportunities for creative experimentation.

For artists new to Riso, we recommend trying the free Spectrolite app to explore digital color separations.
