The EMS courses teach practical skills with hands-on experience. A partnership with the Cheney Fire Department offers students a unique opportunity to serve the Cheney community and Eastern Washington University.<\/p>\n<p>Completing the certificate opens up more job opportunities in areas like:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Firefighting<\/li>\n<li>Emergency room technician<\/li>\n<li>Ambulance services<\/li>\n<li>Industrial medic<\/li>\n<li>Emergency dispatch<\/li>\n<li>Nursing<\/li>\n<li>Physician&#8217;s assistant<\/li>\n<li>Clinical therapies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students can apply for and gain a national registry Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certificate by completing the EMT course and taking the NREMT exam.
