She earned her bachelor of arts in cultural anthropology magna cum laude at the University of California at Santa Barbara, master of physical therapy at Chapman University in Orange, Calif., and doctorate in social and administrative sciences at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho.<\/p>\n
She teaches the clinical anatomy course series, screening for medical referral, and the clinical research courses. She has practiced in several clinical areas, with particular interests in wellness, prevention and health promotion. She has published and presented her research findings on topics like quality of life, especially in older adults with and without disease, fall risk in community-dwelling elderly and factors influencing patients’ participation in exercise.<\/p>\n

Tanya L. Kinney LaPier has been serving as a distinguished professor at Eastern Washington University since 2003. She has been working in physical therapy since 1993, when she was an assistant\/associate professor at Idaho State University. When she wasn’t teaching, she served as a cardiac rehabilitation physical therapist at both Buffalo General Hospital and Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She also coordinated the cardiac rehabilitation program at Bannock Regional Medical Center. Dr. Hilary Lott earned her B.S. in Exercise Science at Gonzaga University and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Regis University.\u00a0She has been a Clinical Specialist and leader in the community treating patients with neurological and vestibular disorders, concussions, and amputations for the past 18 years. She has served as a Clinical Instructor for numerous EWU DPT students.\u00a0Her research has included patient and caregiver education in spinal cord injury and vestibular treatment.\u00a0She was affiliated with the EWU DPT Program for about a decade providing teaching support in her areas of expertise. Clinically, he has practiced in various regions throughout the West Coast in sports and orthopedics, while holding APTA leadership roles and developing continuing education content. Dr. Wehrer has extensive experience working with elite and amateur athletes in performance, rehabilitation, and consulting roles.
