His first published piece, \u201cStop Me If You\u2019ve Heard This One Before,\u201d appeared in\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.versaljournal.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Versal<\/a><\/em>\u00a0#9 and was a joke story originally written for the EWU graduate-student reading series at the (now sadly defunct) Empyrean Caf\u00e9. His fiction and poetry have also been featured in\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/burrowpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Burrow Press Review<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.delmarvareview.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Delmarva Review<\/a>,<\/em>\u00a0<em><a href=\"http:\/\/burningword.com\/2014\/10\/blondie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Burningword<\/a><\/em>, and other journals. His story \u201cRobot on a Park Bench,\u201d set in Spokane\u2019s Riverfront Park, was nominated for the Pushcart Prize in 2014 and adapted into a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/delmarvapublicradio.net\/post\/delmarva-radio-theatre-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">radio drama<\/a>\u00a0by Delmarva Radio Theatre in June 2015. Determined to finish a novel draft without rewriting the first chapter every two months, he began a serialized space adventure in mid-2015 called\u00a0<em>Lars Breaxface, Werewolf in Space<\/em>, available online at JukePop Serials.<\/p>\n<p>For money, Brandon has been a barista, an indie film actor, and a blogger for the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and the Quantum Theatre Company. He now works as a freelance editor for Dorrance Publishing and is finishing a collection of short stories. He is still trying to figure out how rocket ships, schlock horror movies, Philip Marlowe, and quiet epiphanic fiction can be Frankensteined into one savage beast.
