Confirm Your Enrollment
What You’ll Need
- Your admissions login information (the email and password used to submit your EWU application or check your application status).
- A credit or debit card to pay your new student enrollment fee.
Where to Start
- Visit your admissions status page.
- Select view update to view your decision letter.
- Select the “Next Step: Complete Your Enrollment” button.
- Complete the “Confirm Your Enrollment” form.
- Pay the enrollment fee in the Payment Due section on your admissions status page.
What You Should Know
- Complete your online form and submit your enrollment fee.
- Once we receive your enrollment fee, you’ll begin to receive more information from various offices about orientation and getting your classes.

Set Your Username Password
What You’ll Need
- Your Username and EWUID number (found at the top of your acceptance letter and in a series of emails you received).
- Your personal information, including the name used on your admissions application (your legal first name and legal last name) and your date of birth.
- Getting stuck? Use our step-by-step guide sheet for account activation.
Where to Start
- Visit ewu.edu/accounts.
- Click the “Activate Account” button.
- Follow the posted directions to activate your EWU account. Use your Username and EWUID number.
What You Should Know
- When you’re done with this step, make sure to remember your username and password! It will be used to register for classes, access online courses, update your information and more.

Apply for Your Visa
What You’ll Need
- Your Username or EWUID.
- Your personal information (like name and home country).
- Official financial statements.
- A credit or debit card to pay your visa application fee.
Where to Start
- Email Jamal Benhamou our International Student Advisor/SEVIS Coordinator at jbenhamou@ewu.edu to start your I-20 and begin the visa application process.
What You Should Know
- Once you’ve confirmed your enrollment, it’s time to contact Global Student Services to start the visa application process.
- Timelines for visa interviews vary, so please make sure to contact Global Services as soon as you confirm.

How to Get Your Classes
What You’ll Need
- Step 1 and Step 2 have to be complete!
- Your Username (found at the top of your acceptance letter).
- Time to schedule an appointment (Zoom and phone appointments available).
- Your unofficial transcript(s).
- Your Math Placement scores: ewu.edu/advising.
Where to Start
- Check your email in early spring for your academic advising instructions.
- Visit ewu.edu/advising for complete information about academic advising.
What You Should Know
- First-year students will create their class schedules during New Student Orientation, while transfer students should contact the Center for Academic Advising & Retention to schedule an advising appointment.

Submit Your Final, Official Transcripts
What You’ll Need
- Final, official transcripts from any colleges and the last high school you attended.
- Make sure your official high school transcript has your graduation date on it.
- If your final official transcripts are from a foreign college or high school, they will need to be re-evaluated by a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) approved agency. You can order an evaluation from any NACES member but students who order through TEC (formerly known as SpanTran) or IERF will get a discount when completing their order.
Where to Start
- If ordering an evaluation through NACES make sure to select Eastern Washington University as the delivery destination.
- If mailing final official transcripts, send them to the Office of Admissions at the following address:

What You Should Know
- EWU uses your final, official transcripts to give you credit for the classes you’ve taken.
- Your final, official transcript should have your graduation date on it.
- For transfer students, send us your official transcript that includes your most recent credits.
- You will not receive applicable college credit for any AP and IB courses until EWU receives your official test scores.
- If you don’t submit final, official transcripts, you can’t register for classes.

Submit Your Immunization Records
What You’ll Need
- Your EWU email.
- Vaccination documentation that you can upload to a website.

What You Should Know
- All students are required to meet vaccination requirements.

Required International Orientation
Where to Start
- Contact Global Student Services for registration and orientation location.
What You Should Know
- The required international orientation is separate from the new student orientation.
- All incoming international students who arrived after Spring quarter must attend the Fall quarter orientation.
- It is a 2-hour meeting that takes place on the Monday before classes from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. It is held on the Cheney EWU campus.
- All students with J and F visas are required to attend the orientation session for federal compliance.
